Our overarching vision is to raise qualified, financially independent leaders in rural Northern Cape, by uplifting the quality of education. With this vision, our socio-economic development programme is built on the mandate to implement Maths and Science development initiatives for the direct benefit of the ten schools in Douglas area.
“I believe education gives one the ability to adapt to any situation, to be a player in the mainstream economy whether as an employee or employer,” said Community Operations Manager, Stephen Murefu, who has worked to implement socio-economic projects in this town for over ten years already.
Whilst the majority of the education programmes focus on stimulating STEM subjects, initiatives extend to literacy, tertiary scholarships and robotics.
