COMMUNITY

The community of Douglas are the direct beneficiaries of Herbert Solar’s Economic Development Programmes, focused on socio-economic projects.

Flagship projects encompass education and skills development, with the objective of uplifting this community. STEM initiatives across 10 local schools in the Douglas area, support enrichment programmes to raise the level of learner education and teacher qualifications.

Our vision is to support teachers and learners in improving their academic achievements so that they have access to greater opportunities and that they may ultimately break the cycle of poverty. This is supported by the belief that by educating just one child in a family, it can change the economic future of that entire family.
